Learning Manners

One day a little boy named Johny was eating a banana sitting under a tree in a park. A monkey sitting nearby also had a banana in his hand. He climbed up the tree and began eating the banana. The monkey saw Johny eating the banana. He kept on watching Johny.  

                          

Johny too kept looking at the monkey. While Johny was eating the banana, he kept making funny faces. The monkey, too, made faces just as Johny did. When Johny finished eating the banana, he flung the banana peel on the ground. The monkey looked at the banana peel in his hand for a moment. Then he climbed down the tree. The monkey then ran to a nearby dustbin and put the banana peel into it.                

Johny was ashamed that he had thrown the banana peel on the ground.

After reading the paragraph, do the following: 

1. Read the paragraph again with your parents. Write

     two difficult words. 

2. In your own words tell your mother:

    a) What was Johny eating? 

    b) What ways did monkey copy Johny?

    c) What did Johny do after eating the banana?

3. Write one good quality of the monkey.
